The 2015 Friends of St Michael’s annual dinner was held on a sunny evening in June. Over 100 Friends and their guests were welcomed into the Bodley Church by a jazz trio, warmed up with a glass of prosecco, before moving to beautifully set round tables which filled the nave of the Burges Church for a magnificent four course candlelit meal. There was much lively chatter and renewing and making of friendships and the obligatory raffle. As the evening came to an end, we were invited to look up and see a cross projected onto the ceiling illuminating the strips of wood that form its curves – a treat kindly paid for by a Friend.
